History
Josh Becker and Robert McAninch met over two decades ago while serving in the United States Army Aviation community. They continued their commitment to service by combining for over 40 years of service to this great nation, including multiple overseas combat deployments. As a career helicopter pilot, Robert comes from a strong aviation background focused on Aviation Maintenance and Safety; whereas, Josh specializes in OSHA Compliance Training, Higher Education, and policy research.
They found out almost instantly that their individual fields complemented each other’s in surprising, and what turned out to be inseparable, ways. This made them eager to cultivate their own consulting practice, one that would effectively intersect their expertise with their respective interests. They believe that what drives a safety culture and what makes a creative business thrive is the passion that drives it.
Choosing to specialize in a field means that you are completely devoted to it and that you will protect it as if it were your own. In aviation, danger is unavoidable, but those in its uniting culture respect the safety that mitigates it. You know this as you know yourself. This is the dynamic that sets them apart.
URS Safety was was originally formed in 2018 as Seleron Safety Consultants but joined forces with Utility Resource Solutions in 2023 to create the URS Safety Consultants. Although, conceived many years before, they have been providing effective safety solutions within their respective professional fields for some time. Since then, they've facilitated the increased safety success of individuals and companies alike by providing custom tailored solutions focused on reducing cost and loss.

Josh comes to you as an accomplished, results-oriented certified safety professional with over 20 years of progressively higher leadership, management, safety and higher education experience. He is a highly competent and enthusiastic individual with an outgoing personality, great communication skills, and a passion for excellence. As a 24 year combat military veteran he is multi-skilled and self-motivated with a record of success in improving productivity and cost through quality, safety, and training solutions. His safety research efforts have been associated such organizational projects as the RAND Corporation and the Department of Homeland Security.

Robert “Mac” McAninch, M.S., CSP, ASHM
Robert has a rich history of high performance with over twenty years of increasingly responsible experience in Safety, Administrative, and Maintenance Management. Here he had to quickly work in a dynamic and sometimes vague setting splitting his fields of expertise but not to the sacrifice of his commitment to protect and serve those in his care. Accomplished at working at all levels within an organization, he can bring a practical and effective “grass-roots “solution to Safety Management from the shop floor to the C-suite.
